(Nasdaq: MYL) today announced that it has entered into a settlement and license agreement with Hoffman La Roche Inc. resolving litigation related to XELODA® Tablets, 150 mg and 500 mg, USP, known generically as Capecitabine Tablets. This product is an orally administered chemotherapeutic agent used in the treatment of metastatic breast and colorectal cancers.
Pursuant to the agreement, the litigation was dismissed on Sept. 21, 2011. Additional details are confidential, and the agreement itself is subject to review by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission. XELODA had U.S. sales of $570 million for the twelve months ending June 30, 2011, according to IMS Health.
